    Bio

Kihei Comerci is a graduate level student at the University of Pittsburgh, working towards her Master’s Degree in Social Work specializing in mental health direct practice. She joins My Wellness Center as a counseling intern.

She has experience in working with pregnant people in active Opioid Use Disorder recovery within UPMC Magee’s Pregnancy and Women’s Recovery Center. She currently serves on UPMC Health Plan’s Mobile Social Work Team, collaborating with providers across disciplines and conducting assessments to identify social, environmental, and emotional needs of members. Her therapeutic style is shaped by a variety of theoretical approaches, largely CBT, attachment theory, transpersonal psychology, mindfulness and somatics. She leads with sensitivity and a person-centered orientation, allowing space for you to share experiences in a judgment-free zone. Kihei aspires to help individuals build self-confidence, establish deeper levels of trust, and work towards radical acceptance of their truest, most authentic selves.

She serves as a yoga instructor in Lawrenceville and is completing a certificate program in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy.
