Bio
As both a clinician and an individual, I deeply value the connections I build with others. I believe that forming genuine relationships with clients, rooted in curiosity and kindness, is essential to the therapeutic journey. My approach to therapy is centered around the client and focuses on their strengths. My goal is to empower clients by helping them identify their unique strengths and values, guiding them toward a meaningful and fulfilling life.
I would describe my therapeutic style as authentic and passionate, often sprinkled with a touch of humor. When working with individuals, I adopt an integrative approach, drawing from various modalities like CBT, ACT, and solution-focused therapy. This allows me to tailor my methods to meet each client's unique needs and concerns, helping them develop coping skills, explore the connections between their thoughts and feelings, and ultimately gain insights into themselves and what truly matters to them. Additionally, I have a strong passion for couples counseling, utilizing the Gottman method to foster healthier communication, enhance empathy, and reduce conflict within relationships.
I hold a Master of Science in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Duquesne University. My clinical journey began in private practice, where I developed expertise in working with couples, children, adolescents, and adults facing a range of challenges, including OCD, anxiety disorders, life transitions, trauma, depression, relational issues, and self-esteem concerns.
