    Bio

Pat is a dedicated counselor who believes the top priority for achieving client growth is dependent on building a genuine working relationship. His authenticity and empathy are critical elements in his treatment model which asks the client to take on a collaborative role throughout the process.

Pat primarily offers a Person-Centered approach to mental health care. He seeks to build a client’s self-understanding through talk therapy to uncover deviations that over time can lead clients to live in ways that are inauthentic to their core wants and needs.

Pat’s therapeutic modality works with an understanding that clients are most likely to look at themselves fully with another individual when they have built a relationship grounded in trust. Clients are intentionally called to be directive in sessions to encourage them to reach their full potential and rediscover their authentic selves. Along the way, Pat will offer constructive feedback in a non-judgmental environment with respect to the client’s identified needs.

“We cannot change, we cannot move away from what we are, until we thoroughly accept what we are. Then change seems to come about almost unnoticed.” – Carl Rogers
