Bio
Michelle Siegrist is a dedicated professional with a master’s degree in professional counseling from Carlow University. Her extensive experience encompasses working with teens, adolescents, incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals, and facilitating grief and loss support groups. She also provides individual therapy for a wide range of mental health diagnoses and populations. Michelle is also a trained birth doula and integrates this experience into counseling pregnant and postpartum individuals.
Michelle is committed to fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship, recognizing that each individual is the expert in their own life. She brings empathy, authenticity, and guidance to the treatment process, ensuring that clients play an active role.
Driven by her personal experiences, Michelle is passionate about minimizing the stigma surrounding mental health and is dedicated to supporting individuals on their unique journeys. She employs a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to treatment, integrating techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapies, narrative therapy, somatic (body-centered) psychology, and mindfulness practices to help clients build healthy coping skills.
In her leisure time, Michelle enjoys recreational volleyball, practicing yoga, paddle boarding, and cherishing moments with her friends and family.
