Bio
Elizabeth (Liz) holds a Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling from West Virginia University. She is a Reiki Level III master in the Usui method and has undergone advanced training in dissociation, complex trauma & PTSD. Liz particularly enjoys working with clients who have received late diagnoses of ADHD & Autism.
Liz employs an eclectic and holistic approach, drawing on attachment theory, somatic interventions, and CRM for trauma treatment. Originally developed for individuals who experience challenges of Complex PTSD, a Comprehensive Resource Model therapy program, or CRM targets traumatic experiences by bridging the most primitive aspects of a person and their brain to their purest, healthiest parts of the self.
Liz takes a person-centered approach to counseling and emphasizes the importance of deconstructing hierarchical relationships in the therapeutic space to create environments conducive to healing. Liz has extensive experience working with chronic illness/disability, LGBTQ2S+ individuals, and diverse relationship structures.Her professional journey has taken her through various settings, from college counseling to residential treatment, community mental health outpatient clinics, and private practice. Liz is deeply committed to working with adult children of emotionally immature and narcissistic parenting, addressing attachment wounding/relational trauma, and supporting individuals who seek to integrate energy medicine, spirituality, and holistic methods into their healing journey.
